Exactly four years ago today I sat in a small office in San Francisco together with Sara Öhrvall and we decided to publish this video on the internet. It was mainly an internal project but we thought it could be fun to see what others thought too. A good move, in hindsight. Remember – this was pre-iPad days. What has happened in these four years? But the obsession over MVP’s has gotten out of control, to the point where anyone who doesn’t have one can’t get the attention of investors. Well, here’s the kicker. There wouldn’t be a minimally viable product for Hyperloop. The Hyperloop requires hundreds of millions of dollars, perhaps billions, of upfront capital — without an MVP — before any users or revenues are gained.
